across disciplines, regions, and institutions. From theory to practice, it explores all things related to sound. It also operates a Sound Lab in the School of Design, SUSTech Shenzhen.

Zhiyi Zhang is an integrated designer and researcher focusing on multi-sensory narratives in spatial communication and social design. She received her Master degree from the University of Edinburgh and her Bachelor degree from the China Academy of Art. Her works address environmental crises and social transformation through multi-sensory approaches, with sound as a central element of her practice. She explores sound data and cultural characteristics as generative sources, working together with visual, olfactory, and material practices to shape sensory-based design experiences.
