across disciplines, regions, and institutions. From theory to practice, it explores all things related to sound. It also operates a Sound Lab in the School of Design, SUSTech Shenzhen.

Zhaorul Liu is a lecturer at Xi'an Conservatory of Music, School of Modern Music. His research focuses on music technology, sonic interaction, NlME, sound design, and he is committed to exploring the possibility of narrative and expression of sound and various media in real/virtual worlds. He graduated with a master's degree from China Conservatory of Music; his past projects include sound production, visual programming, web development, spatial audio production, hardware development, and generative visual design.
