The Sound Studies Group is an international academic team dedicated to sound studies across disciplines, regions, and institutions. From theory to practice, it explores all things related to sound. It also operates a Sound Lab in the School of Design, SUSTech Shenzhen.

Yijing Zhang





Yijing is an interaction designer and researcher with a focus on inclusive design and game design. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Interaction Design at the Umeå Institute of Design, Umeå University. She received her Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Design from the Southern University of Science and Technology.

Previously, she worked as a research assistant for Dr. Qiushi Xu. As a member of the Sound Studies Group, she contributed to the design of sound-based toys for parrots, including both product design and user interface design.
